Perma-Soil-UK

on dry material

Below is a 1m by 1m excavation carried out with dry granular material, only one 25kg bucket of Perma-Soil was required to complete the application.

Dry 1

The excavation has been dug and the soil, which has been taken out, has been treated with Perma-Soil. You can physically see the change in the colour of the soil showing that the Perma-Soil is thoroughly mixed.

Dry 2

The repair has been carried out and we have dusted the sides of the excavation with raw Perma-Soil, ensuring the soil that is compacted back into the hole will cling and bond to the side of the excavation.

Dry 3

The material now mixed with Perma-Soil is added back into the excavation in two lifts. Here is the first lift going in.

Dry 4

The first lift of the mixed material is now compacted with a compacting tool.

Dry 5

The second lift is added and again is compacted.

Dry 6

After 40 minutes the soil is tested with a clegg hammer.

Dry 7

After just 40 minutes we get a clegg reading of 42 or a C.B.R. reading of 123.

Dry 8

The tarmac is added in two lifts of 60mm and 40mm.

Dry 9

This shows the job on completion.

Dry 10

Same job 10 months later.

Dry 11

Same job 4 years later.
